天凤军首领凤清鸣，为执行重任，忍痛将一双儿女托付至交赵雪。多年后归来，却发现女儿陈盼已嫁作人妇，儿子陈望下落不明。凤清鸣去找陈盼，正撞见陈盼遭丈夫贾保男欺凌。护女心切的凤清鸣悍然出手教训贾保男，想带女儿离开。。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
