前警长Roy的妻子在牧场骑行时被一记突如其来的枪声结束了性命，从表面上看，这场意外是因为一个偷渡进入美国的墨西哥人的错，但Roy经过调查却发现，真相并非这么简单……。A group of students who are participating in a university's summer science camp are drawn into an incredible quagmire of conflicts, ranging from the relatively simple conflict between an engaging and forthright young teacher and his older manipulative colleague, to a contest pitting political correctness against free scientific inquiry.
