本剧由野岛伸司完全原创。饭丰万理江在本作品中饰演的是以某件事为契机，从18岁开始，与漫画家父亲丈治共同生活，过着10年家里蹲的无业游民黑目水。在她家里蹲了十年的时候，丈治的漫画被砍了。编辑给丈治提供了一份工作，要与畅销作家公文龙炎合作画爱情故事，而公文提出的条件只有一个：以水为主人公。。1970年，为强迫军队听其发表的劝说军人恢复日本昔日荣誉和“纯洁”的讲话，日本右翼作家三岛由纪夫将真下将军扣留为人质。但他的讲话却遭到军人们的嘲笑，愤怒的三岛由纪夫回到屋中后剖腹自杀。影片以四个部分展现了三岛由纪夫的生平：（1）对真理和美女的看法；（2）艺术观点；（3）军事方面的活动；（4）剑和笔的统一。。Tyneside ship-builder Joe Maddison lost his faith in the trenches at the Somme in 1916.
