未满12岁的加拿大女孩伊莉莎白，住在加拿大与美国边境附近的小镇。某天伊莉莎白突然得知自己不是父母的亲生女儿，而一些巧合让她认为，自己其实是乡村歌手Dolly Parton的孩子。于是伊莉莎白给Dolly Parton写信，并计划跨越边境去Dolly Parton的演唱会与其相见……。Roberto, a drummer in a rock band, keeps receiving weird phone calls and being followed by a mysterious man. One night he manages to catch up with his persecutor and tries to get him to talk but in the ensuing struggle he accidentally stabs him. He runs away, but he understands his troubles have just begun when the following day he receives an envelope with photos of him killing the man.
