记者忠爱上了快餐店妹菲，多次想向她表白，约她看电影，但都开不了口。菲在一次交通意外中死亡，与她一起死的尚有驾的士的前黑社会大哥丧，及刚失恋的wet妹芝。忠将拍到他们三人死亡的照片，将之登在报纸头版，令报纸大卖，但同时引来三只冤鬼缠身。三鬼各有未完成的心愿要忠帮忙完成，否则便缠着他不走，忠开始时抗拒，后来为了菲而应承。忠先后帮芝与丧完成要心愿，他帮芝惩戒了负心男，帮丧收拾了黑帮死对头，最后他又帮菲作好未完成的曲，参加了歌唱比赛，菲终于成功在台上唱完了喜爱的乐曲，然后前往投胎。。Saturday Night Live aired its eighth season during the 1982–1983 season on NBC.
