赵惠玲（王丽云 饰）早年丧偶，育有三个女儿，长女申红（夏力薪 饰）年过不惑，自小替母亲分担家庭重负。已退休的赵惠玲因拆迁分得一笔补助款，所以晚年生活还算宽裕，唯一使她操心的就是几个闺女的婚姻。申红原先的丈夫叫马六（杨仪 饰），因暴富变心与她离婚，二婚的丈夫是大学教授，跟她结婚后念念不忘前妻。次女申兰（周显欣 饰）性格孤傲，看不惯母亲的小市民习气，背着家里找了个外地男友赵阳（孙骁潇 饰），赵阳家境富裕，只是暂时还瞒着申兰。小女申紫（柳岩 饰）嘴贫且单纯，由于学历有限，如今在某旅游公司做导游，和男友朱一山（叶静 饰）的关系发展到只差领证了......。The movie starts with the Sazer-X playing basketball.
