当年以“小李飞刀”的绰号名震江湖的李寻欢（狄龙饰），迄今沉寂已长达十个年头。谁知近来二十年前横霸江湖的梅华盗的再度出现，而且传言这一切皆为李寻欢所为。为了给自己正名，同时也为了见一见一直挂念的表妹林诗音（余安安饰），李寻欢辗转回到关中，并与途中结识了高傲的独行剑客阿飞（尔冬升饰）。十年前李寻欢和龙啸云（岳华饰）结为兄弟，为报恩更将所爱的表妹让给对方做妻子。当他回到龙啸云的兴云庄时，发现早已物是人非。贪婪无耻肆意践踏着江湖道义，血雨腥风再度掀起…… 本片根据武侠小说名家古龙的经典名作改编。。Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game. When the railroad tries to run the last horse-drawn trolley (operated by his girl's grandfather) out of business, "Speedy" organizes the neighborhood oldtimers to thwart their scheme.。
